Terms & Conditions
QuEvents understands that sometimes things don’t always go to plan and unexpected situations can happen which may affect your booking. Therefore, please read the following services, hire, cancellation and postponement policy carefully. These terms are attached to every hire invoice/contract and cannot be varied.
- Unless otherwise agreed by QuEvents in writing, the Terms apply exclusively to every Quote or Invoice and cannot be varied or replaced by any other terms.
- Any quotation provided by QuEvents to the Customer for the proposed supply of Goods, Equipment or Services is valid for 28 days.
- A Quote accepted by the customer is only accepted by QuEvents once accepted in writing or by electronic means, including by issuing an invoice.
- Prices quoted for the supply of Goods, Equipment and Services exclude GST and any other taxes or duties imposed on or in relation to the Goods, Equipment and Services (unless otherwise stated).
- If the Customer requests any variation to the Order, QuEvents may increase the price to account for the variation.
- Unless otherwise specified in the QuEvents invoice, the terms of the Quote or agreed in writing:
- (a) Deposits (if any) specified in the Order must be paid before the supply of the Goods, Equipment or Services will be made. (b), full payment for the Goods, Equipment or Services must be made in accordance with the payment terms specified in the Order, or if none, within 7 days of the date of invoice. (c) QuEvents reserves the right to require payment in full on delivery of the Goods, Equipment or completion of the Services.
- Cancellation fees: If the booked equipment and/or labour is cancelled or substantially reduced prior to the delivery date a cancellation fee will be payable as follows: a) More than 14 day’s notice – 25%. b) Between 7 and 14-days’ notice – 50%. c) less than 7 day’s notice – 100%. d) Unless otherwise negotiated with QuEvents Management.
- Postponement fees: If the event, booked equipment and/or labour is postponed to another date, a minimum notice of 4 days from the commencement of hire is required (unless agreed otherwise). All payments will be held in credit for the new event date and if applicable any unloading/reloading fees, shift changes or pre-event management services, such as but not limited to site meetings, event planning and administration time, will be calculated and charged. This amount will be deducted from the deposit or billed accordingly.
- The risk in the Goods and all insurance responsibility for theft, damage or otherwise will pass to the Customer immediately on the Goods being delivered to the Customer or dispatched from QuEvents premises.
- The Customer assumes all risk and liability for loss, damage or injury to persons or to property of the Customer, or third parties arising out of the use, installation or possession of any of the Goods hired by QuEvents.
- Equipment shall always remain the property of QuEvents and is returnable on demand by QuEvents. The Customer must not rehire or sub-let the Equipment or any part of it to any person.
- In the event that Equipment is not returned to QuEvents in the same condition in which it was delivered, QuEvents retains the right to charge the Customer the full cost of repairing the Equipment.
- In the event the Equipment is not returned to QuEvents, QuEvents retains the right to charge the Customer the full cost of replacing the Equipment.
- The Customer must: a) keep the Equipment in their own possession and control and shall not assign the benefit of the Equipment nor be entitled to a lien over the Equipment. b) not alter or make any additions to the Equipment including but not limited to altering, making any additions to, defacing, or erasing any identifying mark, plate, or number on or in the Equipment or otherwise in any manner of interference. c) Ensure they have adequate insurance for the production equipment while it remains under their control. d) Notify QuEvents as soon as possible after an incident occurs damaging QuEvents equipment. The customer is responsible for taking photo evidence to document damages. e) Return the equipment in a clean state as it was given to them.
